After the Madness!

Hello to all you lucky people who were given e Readers as presents.

Now the madness is over I’d like to point you in the direction of more presents.

The first book in each of my three series is free, so try them out and see if you’d like to discover more. Click the Universal links below to find them in your favourite online retailer.

They are The Hunters in The Staunton and Wyndsor Series, a British police murder mystery, with a little Black Magic thrown in.

The Hunters

The Fanatics in The Commander Allan Dice Books, a terrorist thriller, full of suspense with an unexpected outcome.

The Fanatics

Killing Tomorrow in the Evolution’s Path Series, an alarming look at a possible dystopian future.

Killing Tomorrow

Genesis of a Heroine.

Well, it’s back to the tyranny of the blank page. But I’m slowly getting my head around the idea of this book as a sequel to ‘Survivors: Genesis of a Hero’ under my pen name John Eyers. It has proved to be a popular novel in my back list so I think it has potential.

There’s a free preview of the Prologue to Genesis of a Hero at the end of the books in The Evolution’s Path Series, which also deals with a post-apocalyptic world. If you have any thoughts about this I’d love to hear from you on the Contact page.

Survivors: Genesis of a Hero

Another gift!

The first book in The Commander Allan Dice books is now free at all major distributors.

It is a political hostage drama, full sf suspense and with an unexpected and dramatic conclusion. The Allan Dice books are perhaps a little darker than our friends in the Staunton and Wyndsor series, but make for equally compelling reading.

I hope you enjoy your free gift and if you do, perhaps you would take a minute to write a quick review in return. I’d really appreciate it.

It’s an early Christmas!

Well, we’re over half way through the year, so time for another present for you I thought.

The first book in The Evolution’s Path Series, Killing Tomorrow, is now FREE on all major digital publishers. Take a look, and if you enjoy it, a wee review would be much appreciated.

Here is the universal link which will take you through to the store of your choice:

If you’re reading this, it hasn’t happened…..yet.

In this dangerously overpopulated world, terrorism and fanaticism have reached boiling point, ISIS struggles on, Al Qaeda has been reborn and the war on terror continues, ever more vicious and amoral.

The lives of three powerful women, Fleur Nicholls, a famous investigative journalist, Simone Gofre, a world-renowned microbiologist and Wenna Cavendish, a senior MI5 officer, become inextricably entwined.

The passions and motives of these three women and their partners and lovers come into conflict; potent emotional bonds are shattered and a stunning revelation will change the course of human history forever.

Can any of the women survive to fight on and escape the disaster looming over humankind?

Killing Tomorrow, the first book in the ‘Evolution’s Path’ series, is an international terrorist thriller with a fast moving storyline that alternates between Britain, America, Pakistan and New Zealand.

Set in the near future, this is a disturbingly realistic account of how an existential disaster could really occur.

War!

War has resumed.
My old adversary Morexalla Catarrhalis mounted a vicious attack last week and managed to initially break though my immune defences thanks to an unholy alliance with another bacterial terrorist, the anti-biotic resistant Haemophilus influenza.
The doctors say my immune system defences are eighty years old and should have been updated long ago.
I disagree. I think the bugs somehow got wind of the subject matter of my trilogy ‘Evolution’s Path’ and decided on a preemptive strike before too many people read the books and their strategy to colonise us all was revealed.
That’s what I think.

Where to now?

Coming to the end of a much needed break and back to facing the tyranny of the blank page. Sometimes writers are asked ‘ how do you come up with your ideas?’ To which many old ‘uns like me would answer, ‘it’s more a question of which of the many stories infesting my brain at the moment I should give preference to.’ That’s a decision I have to make in the near future. Maybe I jump genres into comedy or return to historic series ‘Survivors’ or continue with the ‘Evolution’s Path’ series.
Or again, work to rekindle (!) interest in my back list of detective thrillers from the seventies.
All suggestions appreciated.

Procreation

It is a time for rejoicing! The third book in the ‘Evolution’s Path series, ‘Procreation’ is published and I can justify a little self-indulgence over the Christmas holiday.

Thereafter it will be decision time. To be or not to be, that is the question, whether it is nobler in the mind to return to ‘The Survivors’ and write a sequel to ‘Genesis of a Hero’ or take arms against a sea of troubles and continue along ‘Evolution’s Path.’ (Thanks Will!)

Or turn to anarchic comedy with ‘Puck’s Bottom.’

Or adult/children crossover with the space-travelling ‘Thunder Bunnies’.

Or take a holiday and think about it. After all, procrastination is a writer’s best friend.

That’s it, maybe I’ll write a book for writers. ‘How to be a Procrastinator in six easy easy lessons.’ Couldn’t go wrong, could it?

Anyway, ‘Procreation’ is now available at all major online retailers and in print from CreateSpace on Amazon.

Where it all began

Apocalyptic, post-apocalyptic and dystopian novels seem to have become all the rage, but do you remember where it began, in the 1970s with Terry Nation’s TV series, ‘Survivors’?

There were spin-off novels from that. Check out ‘Survivors: Genesis of a Hero’ by John Eyers! Still going strong and available now in eBook form on Amazon, Apple, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Scribd.
